Kenova Smokehouse is passionate about food, especially our BBQ. We serve a blended southern style of BBQ. That means Texas brisket, Memphis pulled pork, Kansas City burnt ends, St. Louis ribs and pork steaks, and local Mississippi sausage. We want every dish we serve to be the best you have ever had so we source top-quality ingredients. You will not find canned green beans, 5-gallon buckets of store-bought potato salad, or cheap, generic bread in our kitchen.
Meet The Owner/Executive Chef
Kendall Adkins is a classically trained chef with over 15 years of cooking experience. He trained under some of the top chefs in St. Louis and worked for several well-known restaurants, preparing some of the finest BBQ and American cuisine in the city. Kendall’s passion is simple food, done well. He believes in making things from scratch, not cutting corners, and putting in the work to make sure each dish is prepared correctly. He has dreamed of opening a restaurant since he was a teenager, and is proud to now be serving his own BBQ and scratch-made sides and desserts in Flowood. Kendall has been married to his wife, Kristen, since 2009, and they have three sons. When he isn’t making BBQ, Kendall enjoys playing blues guitar and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball.
